At Night On The High Seas

At night, when the sea cradles me
    And the pale star gleam
Lies down on its broad waves,
    Then I free myself wholly
From all activity and all the love
And stand silent and breathe purely,
Alone, alone cradled by the sea
That lies there, cold and silent, with a thousand lights.
Then I have to think of my friends
And my gaze sinks into their gazes
And I ask each one, silent, alone:
    "Are you still mine"
Is my sorrow a sorrow to you, my death a death?
Do you feel from my love, my grief,
Just a breath, just an echo?"
And the sea peacefully gazes back, silent,
    And smiles: no.
And no greeting and now answer comes from anywhere.

    A Dream Within A Dream

Take this kiss upon the brow!
And, in parting from you now,
    Thus much let me avow--
You are not wrong, who deem
    That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.

    I stand amid the roar
    Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
    Grains of the golden sand--
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
    While I weep--while I weep!
O God! can I not grasp
    Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
    One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?

    THE IMAGE OF THE MOTHERS

By the end of the cognitions
    of the reasoning
    of the Loves..!
That's the image of my Mother

    She's beautiful with her spring-hair
    With her clement-eyes
    With her generous-heart
With her warm milk for child
    And with her big Ocean-Soul

We are all children - in the different lands
We are growing by their protecting hands
By their popular songs - at nights
    And by their practical advises

And now -- we are grown aldults
We know how to think the merit of them
So - why can't we love our Mothers?
And why can't we serve for them
    Like for our Country?

    Because of this action
Which shows our gratitude to them as a duty
And when they need our help - we are ready
That's a proud and happy time in our lives

Mothers are the truth Angels in the world
    They are the tolerant women
    And solaces for us
    If you were a child
    Would you agree with me?
